Welcome: Owned and operated by Dan, Rhonda, and Duke Stone. Dukes Lodge is located on the bank of the Altamaha River just minutes down stream from the "Forks" otherwise known as the confluence of the Ocmulgee, Oconee, and beginning of the Altamaha River. Our property joins the Bullard Creek Wildlife Management Area (13,000acres) managed by the Ga. Dept. of Natural Resources.

Our lodge was constructed in 2007 and built for the purpose of offering our retriever training clients a place to stay while they learn the commands of their retriever. Our retriever training program consist of Obedience, Forch Fetch, Marking Skills, as well as more advanced  skills such as Blind Retrieves and steadiness. What is so unique about our program is that we only work with three client dogs at a time thus giving them lots of work and repetition. We treat our client dogs as if they were our personal retrievers and spent alot of time socializing and exposing them to the world around us.

Dukes Lodge also offers individualized upland bird hunts, waterfowl hunts, turkey, and big game (Deer, Wild Boar) hunts.

Dukes Lodge can also carry you Flathead catfishing, Redbreast and Shellcracker, and Mullet which the Altamaha River is so well known for.

We also welcome Canoers who may be coming downstream to spend the night and continue their journey down the mighty Altamaha.

Dan, Rhonda, and Duke Stone, as well as other members of the Stone Family have been hunting and fishing the Altamaha River Basin for over 30 years and can offer any type hunting and fishing experience you may be interested in.
